Hey Leaders!
This week's topic is inspired by a quote from Pastor Perry Noble. He is the senior pastor of NewSpring Church in South Carolina.
NewSpring Church has approximately 25,000-30,000 people that attend one of their 9 campuses across the state. Pastor Perry leads a team of a little over 300 paid staff members and even more volunteers.
Despite being in the top 5 for largest and fastest growing evangelical churches in America, they have a phenomenal personal touch and it permeates through the entire organization and its culture.
I believe a large part of all of the positive growth in their organization comes from the principal of celebration! This is captured in this quote:
Celebrate what you want to see repeated.
- Pastor Perry Noble
So, whether you're leading people at work or leading your family at home, celebration is one of the best ways for you to see the behavior and the results you want.
Now, if you do this as a manipulation, then eventually people will see that you're only leading them to benefit you instead of benefiting them.
As a leader, we should be looking to catch people doing something good, not just looking to catch them doing something wrong.
It has been said that a leader's principal concern should be the success of those they lead and not their own success.
In my opinion, your team member's or family member's success should be your success.
So my question to you is this, who can you help make successful today?
Lead Your Home! Lead Your Work! Lead Your Life!
