Over the past year, I have taken a break from social media for family and personal reasons. It was great to be unplugged for a while. I think we all feel that sometimes our devices and our social media accounts own us more than we own them and I was no different.

However, things are moving forward with the blog and what I’m trying to build here and social media is going to be very much a part of my plans.

So, it is with great excitement that I am announcing that I now have an official Facebook page! Click here to check it out.

This may seem insignificant to you, but I assure you that this page (and other social media outlets) are as much if not more for your benefit than they are for mine. So, I want to share with you 3 reasons why you’ll absolutely love my new Facebook page.

1. You will get my content where you live.

While I am actively trying to build my email list, I realize that many people consume content via social networks. Facebook happens to be where the majority of my readers and subscribers come from. So, it only makes sense to publish content where my audience gathers.

2. You will get to know me better.

If you only heard from a relative or close friend 3 times a week for 3 minutes each time, then you’d probably have a shallow knowledge of who they truly are as a person. Right now, I am posting content 3 times each week, but only one of those is true, original content. There may be ideas or thoughts I want to express that aren’t suited for a full blog post.

Having the ability to hear from me more often should help you better understand who I am and where I’m coming from in my longer form content. My new Facebook page will also allow me to get to know you better as you comment on and like my different posts. Which leads me to my third and final reason.

3. You will get better content from me.

Facebook pages have built-in analytics that allow me, the page owner, to see just how effective my posts are. These analytics, combined with seeing what content you like more, will allow me to create more and better content that is more customized to what you want to read.

I have a bunch of thoughts and some very strong opinions that I have no problem expressing and sending out into the world, but that doesn’t mean much if no one is reading it. So, help me, help you!

I would love to get to 100 likes before the Super Bowl next Sunday! If you feel that you have gotten any value from what I’ve written and shared with you, then help me get to my goal by clicking the button below to visit my new Facebook page. Once you’re there, just click the “Like” button at the top of the page.
